Thanks Robert you are a star. When I downloaded 10.8.2 I made a bootable copy on a USB drive. Installed 10.8.2 on the second drive in the MMS as you suggested and then CS6 installed with no problems showing that there was a conflict on the first drive. Now I need to decided what to migrate and what is the best way to do it.
