Ed, regarding the Canon lens. It is a macro that provides a large amount of extension as though there was a bellows attached. This allows it to provide 1:1 to x5 mag. Ideal for insects and the like.

If you use the Nikon 60 or 105 or Sigma 150/180 you get 1:1 or better as well but I guess you want the ultra close up with no extra carry of extension tubes or bellows.
