Discovered that the D600 hasn't got the one press on the back rocker switch to zoom full frame function. Another reason why I was right not to buy.
I keep forgetting to answer this.......
Apparently it is on the Nikon firmware update list for the one press magnify item.
However until it arrives it would be just vapourware or rumour and an aggravation in real world use.
