Interesting item.
I agree with you about his composition skills.

I think that there must be similar events on most coast lines but not necessarily with loss of villages. I know the loss of villages is especially bad in that area but these villages were all fishing villages. Therefore they were built very close to or on the coast to allow easy access. Unfortunately the soil was sandy not stone as in Cornwall.
