Well, I finally made the move on a compact camera. I have owned a Fuji X20 for about 2 weeks now and am very pleased with the purchase.

I wrestled with getting the X100/s or the XE1 for a long time. I finally ruled out the XE1 as to big to carry all the time. I also knew that being able to change lenses, I would be too tempted to add lenses to the XE1 and defeat my purpose for getting a compact. I finally ruled out the X100/s because my wife from time to time asks to use my camera to take a few snaps or wants someone else to take one of us or a group of friends. The X100/s did not lend itself to this scenario.

Then I came across the x20 and bingo, it had all I needed. It's compact enough to carry and has a very nice set of features. Additionally, it has the "auto" mode for when my wife or someone else uses the camera. The lens has a nice range and is very small when the camera is turned off. It is reasonably priced for a secondary camera to my Nikon kit.

I have been very happy with the jpegs sooc. Now I find Apple Aperture has just included RAW processing for the X20 so I am all set.
