I've been on something of the same quest, but have come to the conclusion that there is no ONE app that can replace PS.
So now to decide whether to start using multiple apps (and I also dislike LR because the of the issues I've mentioned in the past) or what???
Tip...Photomatrix is on sale right now for only $14 in the App Store - definitely not a PS replacement, but it actually does a couple of things better than PS and does a couple of things that PS does not do (easily, at least).
