I wonder who thought of this one.
Could any owner of a current (USD 300-1000) DX camera be seduced into spending USD 1500-2000 for a single lens ???

Yes, that price difference puts it in perspective.
I guess I was hoping for a pro DX body.
But as JK suggests, there are much cheaper more flexible alternative which may suffice.
