I bought one of the Toshiba ones...never used it after trying it once.
Thought it was too slow and since you can't use the camera when it is transferring, I felt I was better off carrying an extra card and doing what I always do
It's a good point. I don't think they are workable 'in the field' for just clearing a card. But my friend isn't a big shooter and leaves downloading his single card till he gets home...and has a cuppa while it's doing it.
