I am stuck up a 30foot pine tree waving an extending pruning saw ( saw on a 10foot aluminium pole) in the air, when an almighty flash of lightning lit up the sky. A gibbon wouldn't have got out of that tree any quicker. It thundered and flashed and poured down for about 30mins. I will go back out tomorrow to retrieve the saw and aluminium ladder. I was reminded of comedian Les Dawson's line..."my father was on the Somme when the first shell landed. He was under his bed in Crewe when the second one landed".
