 As long as you have the address of the hotel then you can show it to a cab driver at the airport and they will take you to the hotel that is the easiest and best way to do it.

Once you are at the hotel then use bus, taxi or rail to get around. The central part of Edinburgh is not large so you can walk safely in most places.
