Some extensions of this line of thought. 1. How about having an electronic variable hot mirror function to allow users to shoot IR images or UV even. 2. An electronic shutter that was fully electronic where it simulated the use of the slit/focal plane type shutter, compur shutter or frame/rolling shutter was provided via a switching on/off or a transparent layer.

Seems reasonable enough. Sony is working on a moveable sensor so any lens will work??? Tom
