They must be paying you too much in Shetland! I am sure that the holidays are great but I prefer a less expensive price.

Err...I wish I was paid enough to be able to afford those holidays! Just a tad overpriced!! However, if you look at their itineraries page, they have planned some rather interesting trips which could be done for less than they charge. The $64000 one looks really interesting but not with that price tag lol. I'm off to San Francisco in November but will have to settle for a budget day trip to Yosemite rather than a week with Nat Geo!

Judith if you are going to SF then you MUST take a trip into Yosemite. It is best to book at the hotel or one of the lodges and then drive in. This will cost a little more than the coach trip but.....the coach tours arrive late in the day and leave early as they cant stay in the park overnight (or they couldnt in the past). It is a brilliant place to have an early morning or late afternoon walk as there is great scenery.

Yes, I'm looking into the overnight stay option. Depends on the hotel costs but I think it would be worth it. We're actually going to San Jose to stay with my sister which is a bit closer to Yosemite. Am looking forward to it. :)

One for you Jonathan - you know you want to! http://www.nationalgeographicexpeditions.com/expeditions/galapagos-cruise/detail And a lot cheaper than Thom Hogan's trip that we found a while back. One of the places I really, really want to visit. :-D
