It’s times like this that I am glad I retired from commercial photography.

Had I been called upon to do this assignment, I would have told the client to………

world’s gone mad

I have a good horsey friend who is a fashion model - she gets to wear some way out outfits - but she is a great horse rider and was with the Spanish riding school in vienna

Fashion from my photo student days at Regent Street Polly 1960: Rolleiflex F3.5F Zeiss Planar with Kodak Tri-X Film (I still have the camera in perfect working order but I have now lost my hair!)

I like the jumper Graham. Looks super warm…..not like the stuff that retails these days.

I had a chunky one back in the 60’s too. It was all I needed to keep warm even on cold days.

A certain young lady needed a sheepskin!!!!

Hmm interesting I don’t have anything to do with horses , but my oldest daughter runs the racing welfare charity . Based in Newmarket but she does go to various venues around the country . She was also the  the stables manager at Blenheim palace many years ago . Got a few degrees in the racing industry last one i believe was in running a racecourse from Liverpool uni .
Not sure of the details as it all goes over my head ,but she’s been on t.v about the charity thing .

I am not a fan of horse racing - especially over fences which is really bad for their legs/joints. Professional racing yards are also mainly interested in what the horses can make in terms of money and treat the horses as objects rather than sentient beings....

To be honest neither am I. They are such beautiful biddable, trusting creatures, it’s unthinkable how they are exposed to abuse for monetary gain.

I did do some eventing photos a few years back. In hindsight they too are being forced to do humans bidding.
