Jim interesting images thanks for sharing them with us, super quality. I agree that lens works very well for me too I use it as standard on my D500. I have just heard from John thay our Gosport Camera Club has cancelled all remaining meeting for this year. As quite a few of us are over 70 it is the right thing to do.

Interesting shots Jim, thanks for sharing. I am intrigued by the ISO settings for those photos. Whilst the building photos are recorded at 100 (which is what you'd expect for Singapore light), the two floral shots are considerably higher at 5600 for the single bloom and an amazing 12500 for the bed of plants. Were they taken indoors or under much darker lighting? I notice the camera was set on auto exposure mode suggesting the camera 'chose' those settings. So I am puzzled why it chose such varying ISO settings? Never the less, it's control of noise at those higher settings is exemplary...especially the 12500.

The bed of plants is taken in a covered area just outside the entrance to two exhibit areas. It is gloomy compared to the brightness outside. I dont know where the flower was taken but I guess it was in one of the exhibit areas (rain forest) where there is a fantastic display of orchids and other damp forest plants. It is nice to see other's pictures of areas that you have visited.

JK I was a Royal Navy Clearance Diver for 25.5 years the equipment in the photo is rigged for mix diving to 54M Eric Your are correct The Plants where taken on Auto as i had only had the lens for a few hours when this was taken, I then started to play with the settings to see what results i would get form the lens and so far i am impressed. Graham Thank you for the Great advice on my camera choice equipment this will stand me in good stead for going forward with my hobby. I do agree with the decision to close down the camera club until further notice until we get this virus under control I got too many good people in the club to put them on risk. Gentlemen thank you very much for your feedback it is greatly appreciated and I will take on board what has been said as I take my hobby forward from this. Again thank you it's a pleasure to know you aa.

Cool stuff. I am a rebreather and open circuit fiver. Dont do trimix, I am extended diving times at 20-30m for my photography. I prefer the light, so deep, cold and dark are not my bag. I wish my underwater photography was easier for me but old age myopia has made it much more difficult for me. Persistence, and experimentation pays! We are all here to help each other.
