....the wife is getting too good at her photography!

I now find it safer to point at something and recommend SHE captures it, rather than both of us doing it ....and me having to bin mine!

...she even got me climbing on things to get a better angle. (It took me an hour to get down!) She titled this one 'rough and smooth'....she liked the smoothness of the arches!!

But seriously folks....do other members partners engage in photography? And, if so, do you shoot the same images when out together? We find huge duplication these days.

I've given Jan some guidance now and then, and it seems the nett result is we end up with say 2000 images ( 1500 in hers!) and my 500 often duplicated in hers. Not just the same subject, often the same angle as she's learnt to walk round subjects. It's very pleasing to see her results...but I find myself looking for more and more unusual things....and hoping she didn't spot them!

Of course, the LUMIX produces seriously good quality images in its own right....

Good set of images Eric.
Like the one of you in the arches.
Frog one is very sharp.

I see you went for a Discovery as the Volvo replacement. How do you find it? Better or worse than the Volvo or just different?

It's very different...excellent for towing and off-roading but strangely old tech in some areas. e.g. No bulb failure warning light...which Volvo had 20+yrs ago! Expensive on insurance and road tax...not to mention fuel. But Jan felt 'safer' in the bigger car coming back from Italy after the crash and I wasn't going to argue the point that it was a Volvo that saved us! We shall see what happens over next year or so.
;-)

Loved my Discovery that I sold in 1999 but the Toyota LandCruiser I had after it was more refined as was the Nissan XTrail except its gearbox was really wooly.

Teeeheehee.
Just purchased shares in Duracell and JCB. Will need a JCB to move the car when the batteries run out!

Nice motor Eric , I also suffer from the other half's pics , especially annoying when hers are better than yours , we also sold our Volvo S60 as we both found it to low with advancing age . Bought a Kia Sportage as we still need a tow vehicle for the caravan

Same here Jeff, I added *some* things because I have some crystal clear memories from when I was about three onwards, but only of certain moments, the rest has been consigned to the bin.

Likewise I can put something down and two minutes later I can't even remember WHAT I put down, let alone WHERE!

I can tell you the thread, the spanner size of a multitude of fasteners on a range of cars and machines I have owned and maintained. All the Lucas colour codes for car wiring and what circuits they denote. Stuff like that sticks, even though I haven't needed them in recent years, they are etched in my memory, yet day to day stuff... Forget it! o.O
