I click on my gallery and sometimes get someone elses. Also when I bring up a picture the box showing the links does not show the entire link. Is this just unique to me. If i return to the main menu and select gallery or my gallery i get the same thing. I must logout before this will change. Leaving the internet does not change it only logging out makes any change. Back when I was actively involved with large mainframes they used to have me try all new systems as I would have unusual things happen that never happened to the testers. I suppose I just normally do operations in an abnormal way. Are there resets made when you logout of the forum, internet, system? Obviously there are as different things happen to me when I do. Guess the other forums I access just don't have so many sub sections to choose from.

Ken, I guess you are using Windows.

Go into Internet Explorer and change the cache settings to Automatically Refresh Page and also to empty cache on exit from Internet Explorer.
I cant tell you what the exact settings, only the general ones, are as I dont use Internet Explorer or Windows these days.

I suppose I shall just use it as it is as I have absolutely no idea how to change any settings in Explorer and don't think it's worth taking my laptop to a repairman. Thanks for the response.

By My Gallery, I take it you mean 'My Gallery' on the Forum Menu?

That has not yet been programmed to our specifications by the UBB Programmer, It actually takes you to the 'Members Galleries' screen. It is SUPPOSED to take you to your Gallery of Albums.

Until that is properly programmed I suggest you navigate to your gallery of Albums and create a bookmark in your browser called 'My Gallery' and click on that to go to your gallery.

If you are logged in on the forum this link should take you to your own Gallery:

http://nikondslr.uk/photos/useralbums.php

This one link should work for all members who are logged in.

That is the link we have asked UBB to use for the 'My Gallery' button.

As for logging out of the forum, I rarely do. I see no point. Unless I am going away for several days I don't even turn my computer off.

I have just sent again to Jim at UltraBB a request for the My Gallery link to be adjusted to
http://nikondslr.uk/photos/useralbums.php

Once this is done I think we are all done with the customisations for the present.

Again thanks for your patience with my comments and I will exercise willpower and not try to find anymore problems that were already being taken care of.

No problem Ken. We need to make sure that the new forum works well otherwise this clunkiness will drive people away.

If people find inconsistencies or strange behaviour on the forum or gallery it is better that it is described so we can either address it directly or put it on the enhancement list for the sotware developer or at least explain the behaviour.

I think that's all it takes Rick.

Once it 'takes' you should be OK.

Well done Rick.
The cookie refresh is what is required if you have these problems.
Unfortunately the wonders of technology!
