My XP1 arrived today from London. Very happy with it in every way. It gives me everying the X100 did and also the ability to change lenses. The only minus is the lack of a flash that syncs at 1/2000 but since I dont us that feature very often I am sure it wont disturb me. Pictures and more comment to follow in the weeks ahead.

Expecting a full report soonest  They finally got the interchangeable lenses, now I was an FX sensor, and them an "M" mount adapter. I want I want!!! One of the members of a camera club I used to go to has a new Sony NX7 and she is raving about it.. And she is a pretty good shooter.. Again a DX sensor, I know I am so jaded But I would like to see first hand the image quality?? :popcorn:

This camera is truly stunning much better than the X100. It is much more controllable than the X100. I love the lenses on it, I got the 35mm f1.4 and 60mm f2.4 so these behave as equivalents of 50mm and 90mm on a FF camera. The lenses are tiny, beautifully made and very sharp. I would like a wide zoom 12-24 f4 when it is released next year. I have bought a Kipon adapter to allow me to use my Nikon glass on the camera but this is really a less than perfect solution as you lose AF and auto exposure as you need to stop it down for the camera to get the correct eposure. The 16MP CCD is super just eough pixels without being too many. It is very similar at high ISO to the X100 so I can use it in low light. AF performance in better than the X100 but not as good as a DSLR. Once you understand the AF limitations then you make allowance and can work around it with MF or prefocussing. Exposure control is great, I have not had any badly exposed images at all. Some might need a tweak but nothing more than a stop. The IR performance is similar to that of the X100 so even at ISO3200 the shutter speed/aperture combo is 1/20 @ f4 so it is tripod land. There is no eyepiece adjustment so you have to buy screw in eyepiece lenses if you want adjustment. The eyepiecel has no lock so the eyepiece can unscrew very easily. I have already lost my one after three days! It makes no difference as the one that comes with the camera is a blank but it needs to be LocTited in! I will get a replacement old style 19mm (off a Nikon FM or the like ) to replace it. Note the size! The new Nikon size is 22mm.

Hi Ray- I'm still waiting for mine. 2 more days ... I've read a couple of reviews that state IG is equal to or better than an M9, even with the $500 Fuji lens. There arenoe adapters for less than $100 if you are lucky enough to have some old M lenses laying around... Tom

Seems like the RAW support from Adobe is near there. http://www.dpreview.com/news/2012/05/07/Fujifilm-X-Pro1-studio-comparison-shots-including-ACR-conversions DPReview report that they are using a beta ACR version to support the XP1 RAW files. So it will be ACR 7.2 or Lightroom 4.2 before we get XPro1 RAW support.

What I will say is that the 16MP DX sensor that they have in the XPro1 is as good as the D3 FF CCD. I'm now waiting for Adobe and others to release RAW file support for the XPro1. Since the layout is different to the standard Bayer layout this is taking a little longer.

I may be way off. It I think the x100 is also as good as D300s
