Kathy, re: a nikon DSLR can have The design life varies by model Professional modela have a range of 200.000 and up. Product brochures ususally have some remarks on the designed shutter life. Note however: those numbers are the designed (and presumably tested) cylcle-lifetimes, with a sample of one, one may not be so lucky. The list Robert points to is a collection of voluntary (anonymous) observations. Regards, Gilbert |

Depending on the Nikon camera model the shutter life is 100000 or 150000 or 200000. Remember these are MBTF numbers so are not absolute but weighted averages! I have heard of cameras with 250000 actuations! |
