I just wanted to touch base with you guys its been a busy few weeks. I have been out shooting pics again , I got some nice end of season snowmobile racing last weekend . This weekend is motorcross and drag racing , then baseball . Oh and i finally got my hands on a D7000 , seems with a 2 battery grip its the same feel as my D200 but I hate how to adjust ISO on it , clumsy to do on the fly unlike my D200 ... Well im off and I will post back this weekend I hope .
Thanks everyone
Rick

That's what you get with consumer bodies. Try auto ISO.

Rick, trust me on this you need a D700 with the MB D10 grip.. For Sports you'll love it!!

If I worked this right the shot, is one frame  from a string of about sevens frames of my grandson Ethan getting his first hit as a baseball player!! I pushed the shutter button when I saw the look on his face change, to oh boy I can hit this, until after the ball was gone..

I'd agree with Ray!

D700 and MBD10 covers it all!

Makes for a very nice inexpensive package, compared to a D3, and the extra speed, frames per-second, really helps with sports photography!!

When the D400 is announced I reckon that'll be the model for sports where you need a bit more reach.

And there is also a D600 coming as well (24MP FX) before September.

I don't want to even think about when and off they come out with new bodies. I told myself if I can get a pic in any print media I will immediately buy myself a D700 or whatever the new low price FX is . I really hope it's soon. But I'm out there trying and that is better than I use to be

Keep going Rik. I think that you will soon have that new camera coming your way with a good positive attitude.
