The old home must be having fits, the last couple of times I posted there, the fourm started failing to work, and my browser timed out and I couldn't even re-enter the forum with a fresh browser page???

Perhaps we are departing, just as the wheels are falling off the cart???

Works fine for me most of the time. Then occasionally it becomes unavailable. Occasionally on my iPad I get spurious data.
I think some of this is down to the old server and some of it to internet DNS issues.

Maybe I have missed this.... Is there a link (albeit temporary) to the old forum?

It might be a good idea for visitors to easily link to the old forum to experience the depth and pedigree of earlier posts.. while we are adding some substance to this forum?

I have also been having a few gremlins with the old forum. But we should keep it running for the time being...there's a lot of good stuff there!

Would it be an Idea to lock the sections to prevent posting there or we will be looking in two places ?

Good idea to have a link from the new forum back to the old forumwhile it still exists.

We seem to be doing fine here with the customisations.
Steve and i still have some items on the to do list.

I dont know how long Armand will keep it runningafter we move.
I still haventheard back from his server admin regarding making a backup of the forum.

Yesterday i had real problems with the old forum on my ipad as it was serving out a strange corruption on the header items. It's OK today. I think the server caches are getting full or corrupted.
This indicates either a server hardware problem or high usage, the old forum is not high usage so it must be some other instance on that server causing the problem.

Even more reason to block posting on the old forum from now.

We need a big WE HAVE MOVED sign.

I agree and I/we are working to try and get us moved asap.
If we can get moved sooner than first week in May then so much the better.

That said I think there are some issues with the gallery software here that will mean we need some enhancements. Its not huge but I dont think I am competent enough to do the actual programing but hopefully we can get some help.

Jonathan/Steve, is there any way you can migrate the 'How To' posts like sensor cleaning, etc., from the old site to this one?

Ii had problems accessing it about an hour ago it said server was unavailable but that could just mean that the link to the server was overloaded or down.
