he He, LMAO

Mind you, I once worked for the BBC for four years and can testify what the culture is like: extreme left wing, PC beyond belief, full of misfits and people who if they went back to their own countries would be shot. Also a culture of psychopathic managers.

In a metaphorical sense they tried to stick their hands up my backside, I was having none of it and walked out.

I always wondered who gave Sooty his black and white stick.

What you describe Steve is large corporate culture which is an overcompensation for some past misdemeanours by staff.

We dont live in a perfect world but some people are more willing and able to exploit the system for their own devious and dastardly uses.

Bit of a tongue twister that, but yeah in my experience at the beeb I'd prefer just to remember them as a bunch of weirdoes, deviant in the extreme.

Today's human nature. In fact in British industry these days, training for middle managers includes tuition on how to develop glibness and superficial charm, practice interpersonal coldness, exploit others and become proficient in developing deviant relationships for the purpose of career development and of course exploiting these relationships to gang up on of anyone who speaks out. In short, not only are Britain's managers a bag of brown stuff, their training actively encourages it.

Organisations these days pay big money for evil little creatures, because they're seen as the ones getting results. You want to do unethical, and usually illegal thing to people......you need managers lacking conscience, i.e 'psychopaths'

As for BBC, well frankly I'm not surprised the organisation is in this mess. Ye reap what ye sow, lol.
