Oh dear, sad, these things are never welcome, :needsahug: hope things improve. Gathering spare pennies is getting harder. Everything is getting dearer but the income is static.

I read yesterday that the sales of petrol have dropped 20% in the last five years, sales of diesel only dropped by 5%. Seems the cost of fuel is biting hard.

I had planned to watch the Lands End Trial at Easter but gave up on the idea when I considered the cost of the fuel I would need.

Oh dear...not good.

I have mine in for some water loss investigations next week. With the mot due and new front disks required plus a heap of other stuff I am left wondering what the bill will be. With a long european trip planned for May I am getting a bit nervous about potential underlying age problems.

:-O

Why are these events always at the far end of the earth?

Because I live in the north! LOL Not many events up here, I guess the wonderful scenery makes up for it a bit?

Sad news Jeff. Costs of owning a car seem to be always escalating. Today, the least expensive car on the market cost more than the first house I owned. Maybe dating myself but that house is still standing 45 years later, car I owned back then long gone.

That is some beautiful scenery Robert.

Hope that you have a windfall to recover from your misfortune Jeff.

The cost of cars in UK and everywhere is way too high compared to cost of manufacture. I estimate that the parts cost less than £3000 in real terms if you take out all the profits to middle men and car manufacturers.

I think it happened abour 5,000,000 years ago, bit of a volcano effect followed by some cold snaps and glaciers! The moles moved in later...
