I knew I shouldn't.
I said I wouldn't.
I thought I couldn't
....but I did.

Two helpings of that 'spawn of the Devil', Christmas pudding.

Lines up perfectly on my Mac using Safari?

Well, despite being stuck in storm-blasted Shetland and having to work all through the festive season (*feels sorry for self*), I managed to have a decent enough xmas.  We had a slightly shorter working day (7 hours instead of 10.5), organised a wee buffet in the office at lunchtime and had a great xmas dinner back at the accommodation barge.  Boxing Day dinner was lovely as well and it is safe to say I am totally stuffed, eyes way bigger than belly - which is now bigger than it was when I arrived!! o.O:lol::rudi::wine::merrychristmas:

Good for you Judith! Sounds like fun, I would love to be stuck on Shetland, even if it did mean 10.5 hr days.

As for the storms it's really blowing up here, can barely stand up outside, the wind is howling and shaking the house. I can't see yet but I expect the sea will be very rough on the high tide. Worse is yet to come, midday is supposed to peak for the wind.

Take care Robert. No trips close to the water. They have already lost one man this Christmas in the sea!

What do you get if you do a screen shot of your iPad when your border isn't aligned?

Have you changed the zoom setting, Eric?

Don't seem to be able to attach a screenshot from iPad.

Will email it to you Robert.

It's obviously something to do with the iPads display of my posts...weird.

Here you are:

Posted via Flicker!

It may be because it's a .png file? Never used them myself.

As for the anomaly I have no idea what is causing it, unless it's the banner with the little camera on it? Do any of the other forum sponsors step out of line on your iPad?

Now here's an interesting observation...well if this whole issue interests anyone in the first instance.

When I am replying using quote....all the posts below the reply box are in line.

So it's only out of line when I am viewing the posts.

Ps
It's only my posts that are out of alignment.

When I reply and the reply has an image included, it aligns correctly.

So it's something to do with the column width of the post area.

Ok sussed it.

Unlike everyone else I didnt have any form of signature in my profile.

I've added my name as a sign off and that is clearly sufficient in the bottom footer to shift the column width across back into line.

I've come across this with my web design software when working with tables....should have guessed earlier.

Back to the original topic.....feeling a bit better this morning.

I have started my new year diet early! All chockie remnants devoured or binned by end of 27th.....all cakes and pastry items devoured or given to the birds by end of today.

Crisps, nuts and beer will be gone by end of 29th.

That leaves us with a calorie reduced home.....and a clear run into the new year regime of 'intake austerity'.

:praying:

ROFL - come on, Eric, the diet doesn't have to start till 2nd January. Everyone knows that!!! I still have plenty of choccies which I'll be devouring till about March! (I am able to restrain myself and only eat 3 or 4 a day as a treat. :-))

I have zero willpower Judith....as far as naughty food is concerned.

I am in the process of pruning all our trees....had a break for Christmas.
But I nearly got stuck in a tree yesterday....like a birthday balloon caught on a branch I was flailing about. Had to 'overprune' some branches just to get down.

In Shetland, of course!!! All you'd find in my fridge in Spain would be an echo.

I just ate it - yummy!  Have popped the rest of the Baileys cream in the freezer to make ice cream.

I have a whole bottle of Baileys given to me as a Christmas present. Disgusting stuff...spoiling alcohol like that.

I would post it to you Judith, but by the time it got delivered to Shetland, the cream will have curdled.

:lol::lol:

Jan and I haven't exchanged Christmas presents for years.

Birthdays and anniversary are a different matter....more personal.

On a slightly different tack, I had to go to my local supermarket store this morning for some fresh items.

I couldn't believe how much aisle space was full of unsold Christmas items. Either they're hopeless at estimating sales, or the public haven't spent as much this year....or they didn't like what they saw. Either way, a huge amount of stock was being discounted heavily....to make room for the Easter eggs and hotcross buns.o.O
