Hi all. First post for me. Just saying hello.

I've been into photography on and off for 30 years now starting with a Fujica STX1N using Ilford HP5 and FP4 when I was still at school. Enjoyed the darkroom side of things very much.

Anyway, wife, life and two wonderful kids later (who are now old teenagers!!) I'm back to it. - sort of a mid life want to rekindle an old hobby type of thing. Just brought a mint condition second hand Nikon 3200 with stock lens plus also a 55-200 nikkor af-s. Recently took 651 photos in three days whilst on a family trip to London and enjoyed it greatly.

I like candid photography and looking for the unusual in the normal situations.

I have found my old copy of PShop CS2 and its now time to get up to speed on that again.

The boss and I are both 50 this year so we have decided on a trip to New York next Spring. By then I hope to have a 10-24 Nikkor in the bag to.

Anyway - thanks for a great forum, looking forward to helping and being helped!

Cheers:-)

Hi Ajac, welcome to the forum.

CS2 should be interesting if you can find an OS which will run it!

I think most people are running Lightroom nowadays, very capable for 99% of needs, most adjustments, keywording, face recognition, map location, slide show, web publishing and other features.

Let's see some photo's!

Welcome to the forum Ajac,

CS2 is very adequate but I think that you will need something like Lightroom 6 to process any RAW files if you want top quality. Out of camera JPG will however get you started.

Welcome, new boy :-)

You're in the right place to stir your interest. Be careful or you will likely wind up with a serious case of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome). If you ARE infected, don't fight it - we all have it and just learn to live with it.

Have fun in NYC...the wide angle lens will definitely by your friends there.

Thanks Gents

CS2 is running fine on WinXP via Parallels on my mac. So far so good. Will post some London photos when I'm happy with them.
Cheers
