Just joined the forum and want to say hello. In the middle of selling my Canon gear to change over to a new Nikon set-up, the D850 being my camera of choice plus two or three lens to keep me going.

Welcome to the forum ... and good choice of camera! Graham Whistler is currently using the D850 for his bird photography .....check out the threads on Bird photography and the 500mm PF lens for an insight into what he's doing with this great camera.

I am still debating whether to get the d850 or the Z7. :banghead:

Welcome to the forum.
You will find sme difference between your Canon and the Nikon. Hopefully we can help you through this change.
I dont think that any one make is better than another but it may suit you better. Hope you like your D850, I like mine but I also like my Z7 as well.
Horses for courses but I prefer mirrorless to DSLR these days. The D850 is slightly faster for fast action in low light.

+ 1.
Certainly agree with that. Better than all the DSLR certainly, and I think the F series as well but I did love my F2 and F3.
