Epochmaker was my 'User Name' on the old forum, I dropped it, partly because we tried to encourage real names on the forum and partly because it was no longer relevant for me.
I created the name because most of my work was done for a company called Epoch Properties, I did work for them for the best part of 20 years, so I called myself EpochMaker, because I made things for Epoch.

To be honest, mine was the first word that came to me when re-registering....it's my IR website domain name.
That was chosen as a word association ...white = foliage effect, iris = photographic capture....and coincidentally the word iris has 'IR' in it.

I was Kenneth Ray on the other forum and just shortened it to Ken Ray here. Actually that is my name. On most other forums I'm known as Zimbabwe or Zimhunter as I liked to hunt in Zimbabwe.
