It seems that the D4S has been discontinued. This seems very early as the D5 has only been available for a few months. |

JK, This is all relative to stocks at Nikon and dealers. I would guess D4s's heave not been produced ever since the D5 was announced. Regards, Gilbert |

Yes indeed. Apparently B&H and Adorama are OOS now which means that for many in USA they cant buy this camera any more. I dont know what stocks are like in Europe but I guess they are low. That said I think if I had enough money to buy a new D4S then I would prefer to stretch to a D5. |

Or wait a while for the D5s? With such a relatively expensive inventory item it wouldn't take many to add up to a considerable value of 'old stock' around the world. Not good when they need to get the D5 sales on stream to maximise on investment. I would think they should have it down to a fine art, timing depleting stock and introducing new high end models. |
