There is not much difference between them Eric. When I first went back to Nikon the focus of the Sony was a bit quicker and more reliable but since the 3.00 firmware for the Z8 it has improved to the point of no notable difference. I prefer the colour of the Nikon but that is just a personal thing. I must say that the Z8 feels more robust and has not complained about the abuse I give cameras. :lol:

We do see these moments of superiority by one manufacturer or the other but then the others (or at least the main contenders) catch up. They don’t seem to stretch ahead, just content to keep pace….perhaps holding back the”cards up their sleeves” for next time.

Yes I think so as that would lead to more sales when something like a Z8ii comes out.
