I am not impressed with the egronomics nor the design - it looks like it needs lots more development work - I might consider it if it used a full frame sensor and the electronics, sensor and screen were built into a replacement back cover - like the Nikon data back.

But I guess that would need a bespoke cover for each spec. Certainly not enamoured with the idea of 3D printing covers either - that is another technology that needs more refinement.

Full frame sensor is not cost effective as it would cost as much as a new camera.
Design does need refinement but I guess since it is a small Swiss company there is not enough money.
3D printing requirement is only for a very limited number of cameras.

D600/610 sensor with low pass filter, new, is as little as £60. - If I knew anything about camera electronics I would be tempted to have a go at it!!

If I remember correctly... 40+years ago... The MD11 fitted on the FE and FM.  I cant remember if the FE2 and FM2 shared the same MD unit but I guess not as it would have been updated as it also supported the FA.

As I remember all you did to fit and use the MD11 was to remove the two caps on the bottom of the camera and screwed it on and off you went!

Loads of info here...

The FM2 motordrive is the MD12
