Very nice Iain, I like the way the sharpness of the bird contrasts with the motion blur of the water, kind of like a fourth dimension.

In our local Titchfield Haven a rather difficult bird to see lucky to catch it darting between dense cover : Water Rail. D500 with Nikon 80-400 AFS Lens plus x1.4 extender. Attachment: WaterRail3305.jpg (Downloaded 21 times)

Well done. I sat and stared at the RSPB Titchwell reserve reed beds for a couple of hours waiting for one to reappear. It had apparently just disappeared from view as I entered the hide.

Great shots. Setting up a winter feeder for our non-migratory birds. Starting to get a bit chilly, down to about -5C at night with shouvable snow. A lot of the snow birds are leaving early this fall
