I did the Gross Glockner Pass road with my parents way back in 1960. I was one of my first memories of seeing snow (since I lived in the West Indies).

We sat having a coffee and slice of sackertorte looking at the twin peaks across the glacier. ![]() We we noticed that a black dot was moving on the side of the left peak...... ![]() Ive done a bit of climbing in my younger days....but not sure I would tackle that snowy peak alone. ![]()

No - I was going to do that last year but my swiss friend said it would take us too long to make it into Itlay before dark - as it was we ended up in the gloom & fog going over the gotthard - the tunnel was log jammed! I have done the St Bernard in the MG on a rally - that was fun, maybe I can find some images ...
