Will have a look Iain, after dinner, which is late!
I would blame the chef but since that's me I just get on with it, can't really sack myself! LOL

I uploaded a pano a few minutes ago, all works as expected, no hitches and pretty well instant.
What exactly is the problem Iain?

Iain you need to make sure that you are logged into the Gallery and in the right place in your file structure in the Gallery.
If you still have problems then please PM either myself or Robert so we can investigate further.

Yes ...it's a bit weird having to log into the gallery even when you are already logged into the forum. It caught me out at first.

It's a bit peculiar, I don't remember ever having had to log into the gallery specifically, I have completely replaced the OS on this computer at least twice since I last visited the Gallery, yet I went straight in and posted that panorama last night without signing in to the Gallery specifically. I can't see my admin rights changing that. I do have the Gallery on a bookmark, maybe that, coupled with the keychain built into the OS opens the door invisibly?

It seems to be a glitch that happens sometimes. I cant track it down. I keep thinking that the Gallery is in need of replacement but if I do that then I would be tempted to also upgrade the forum software as well but that is a headache.

Thanks guys, I'll have another go, when I find the photos that I put safe and the mac seems to want to play hide and seek.

Found them and loaded ok. Nothing exciting just some shots with the 200-500mm f5.6
