what did you do next in an attempt to recover it.
On my ipad if this happens I just press the back arrow (Back) and it returns with all my text.

Need to know the following for Chris to investigate.

Version of Firefox?
Do you have Java enabled?
Do you have Pop-ups disabled or any special security settings.
Are you running in Firefox Dark mode (high security)?
