I bought the 500mm PF lens when I got into bird photography ….which gave perfect shots even with the 1.4x teleconverter. I was bewitched by mirrorless for some inexplicable reason and my then choice of the Sony A1, although a fabulous camera, scotched mirrorless weight saving, whilst introducing several “why did I do this” moments….and still does!
