Got a similar unit but in metal. I like the way it fixes to your backpack.

Very interesting and informative review. Hope the bruises heal quick! What camera did d you use for the first beach shot. Love the way the pebbles have been resolved. I think it might be worth getting one of these....if only to help UK manufacturers. Starting a UK where possible buying strategy.

Meant to say those orange straps look very useful. I like the buckles. Is that a Jan special or do they come with the tripod?

I have a Lowepro flipside which has a hideaway stirrup to support tripod. (White motif at bottom in picture) I prefer the flip side because when I take off the backpack and lay it down on the ground to access the interior... the back of the case is in the dirt...not the front that's going on my jacket! It's also more secure as the access is against my back! Attachment: C8E8E69F-91F5-4BD8-ADCD-DE51FD12B0BB.png (Downloaded 21 times)

Eric: all shots either D600 or iPhone 6s JK: I think lowepro do offer those straps as spares. I know a chap bought two extra ones and has four on his Whistler 450, which isn't standard

I think you need to contact customer services and just ask if you can get two additional orange straps for the Whistler rucsack

highlander wrote:Eric: all shots either D600 or iPhone 6s Well on the basis the photos with the Nikon on a tripod must have been with the iphone...I am well impressed with that phones clarity. My wife's nokia phone is superb (20mp) but my Samsung is Makes me wonder why we bother with DSLR for general photography.

I think the difference is seen when you try to enlarge the photo much past postcard size t becomes grainy. I have been looking at some of my iPhone SE images. They look fone on the phone and when enlarged just a little but at any size around 8x10 or A4 they look pretty ropey.

OK I found what I wanted ITW Waterbury G hook flat. No source in UK, or EU. 10 buckles (red), Costs £6.38 + £0.35 P&P from China. Be here in January. I'm happy as I have loads of 1" webbing. Attachment: D714DD2C-9A3D-4F02-ABA8-B80E758EBB06.jpeg (Downloaded 12 times)
