I have always bought full frame lenses, from day one. The only DX lens I have is the Sigma 10-20. My mistake if you can call it that is not to have bought the latest AFS lenses, most of my lenses dates from film days and while they are a select set of lenses chosen for their resolving power, are no match, or at least I don't think they are, for the modern digitally corrected AFS lenses of today.

I don't think my glass will be any good for anything higher than the D3 resolution, because I don't have and will never afford AFS glass.

i wouldn't be to sure of that robert ,quality lasts and my purchase of a golden oldie this week has certainly changed my whole outlook on lenses ,thankfully nikon saw fit to make there mid range upwards bodies work with older lenses and it now starts to put decent useable glass within range of a pension budget (hopefully).

oh and coming back to this thread i always do my basic editing in aperture 3 then export to elements 10 for final noise reduction (via plug in) and selective sharpening .i,m probably not at the same level as some on here but i am quite happy with my work to date

Installation instructions are here:

http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/plugin-installation

As for unzipping there should be a utility on your PC to do that? I am assuming you are using a PC because the Mac OS usually automatically presents downloaded zipped files as a disk image which simply needs a double click.

Try a google search for unzip?
