I downloaded the Beta for CS6 a week ago and have had a few short plays with it since.

The biggest improvement I think is the ACR engine which is the same as the new one in Lightroom 4. As I have commented previously this new engine is fantastic the new Shadows and Highlight sliders are amazing, an with the clarity slider can do some incredible things.

Aside from the ACR changes, I don't think it's such a major release, not so much new features for photographers, but more of a tidy up.

I do like the interface, it looks a lot more like Lightroom now and I like the darker background better, but you can switch back to the old version if you prefer.

The content aware fill tool has been improved, you can now choose where the 'Fill' comes from, which is a big improvement when you are working next to different detail, where before the 'Fill' was no use you can now choose a suitable area to fill from.

There are a couple of new blur tools as well which are fun, great for creating limited depth of field affects, much better than Gaussian blur.

There are also a lot of new tools for video users - I haven't tried any of them as I don't really do much video yet.

The other thing I have noticed (which might just be how it is installed on my MacBook) is that it seems to start up much quicker than CS5 which is great.

A much fuller review can be found Here
