| Graham, Thanks for posting. From another forum: this camera has NO Ai-coupling, thus cannot meter with non-CPU lenses (just like the D3nnn/5nnn series, and contrary to earlier D7nnn cameras). Regards, Gilbert

| I have been following this on the rumour mills. It really seems to be little more that some tweaks on a D7200. OK it uses the new generation sensor and has some extra body reatures but nothing startlingly new! I find it very disappointing that in their 100th year Nikon have such a paucity of ideas that this camera is all they have managed to release in 4 months. Maybe the next 8 will see what I think is necessary which is a replacement for the D810 and D750. The D5 needs a baby brother such as the D700 was to the D3. Personally the more I use my Fuji XT2 the more I realise I have my perfect camera. Sorry Nikon you are close to losing me just as you were before you released the D3. You have 2017 to recover the situation before I move on.

| Price seems quite high with Warehouse Express (WEX) in Norwich asking £1399 body only. As Nikon say it replaces the D7200 that now sells at £850 body only it is a big jump in price. As I have said before the D810 and D500 cover all my needs and I have no wish to replace them.

| I wish there was a 24MP D810. That is exactly what I want. The D610 and D750 are not that thing unfortunately.

| I have yet to see Nikon launch a prosumer or pro camera body under £1000. From memory the 7200 launched at £1000 in 2015. Given the state of the pound and general inflation, it doesn't surprise me the 7500 is at this start price. Of course, the 7200 dropped 20% in its first 3months...so I wouldn't be surprised if the 7500 followed the same short financial honeymoon.

| I think Nikon seem to have lost their way. The last FF Nikon was the D5 very expensive and heavy. I want a FF 24MP D800/810 look alike! I dont like the D750, due to the accessories connector socket, I prefer the 10pin connector.

They can build a Nikon1 V2 on steroids and they have it. In reality they just need to put it in a D810 body and throw away the mirror box system.

| I agree that looks a very good camera but there would be a lot of cost with a whole new set of lenses. Many like me have a huge stock of Nikon Glass including £6000 cost 500mm lens!

| You wouldnt need new lenses with this camera as the logical design is FF but mirrorless. Therefore the flange to focal plane will be shorter than for current Nikon FX cameras so for FX lenses then a spacer about 5-10mm ring is all that would be required.

| If Nikon made the new FX mirror less with the same electronics as their mirrored models, it would be be a simple straight thru wiring like that found on automatic extension tubes.

| Images with the little Sony RX10 are spot con as per the flower posted on this topic. Also I have been using their pro camcorders for 30 yrs+ and I think they are best you can get. They have been in electronic image making longer than most!

| Give Nikon Uk a call. There is little data about the D7500 and accessories. The Nikon website I got the info from is confusing.
