No sooner have I reinvested in Nikon Z9 and Nikon decide to release the Df replacement which is called the Zf.
If if looks like a Fuji XT1/2/3/4/5 then this is no surprise as in my opinion the Fuji XT cameras have the best ergonomics.

Weight: 700g (inc. battery, the Z5 is 590g, the Z6II is 615g )
Dimensions: 144mm x 101mm
Up to 30fps (JPG/HEIF)

USB C PD (fast-charging technology based on the USB-C standard)
ISO 100-64,000 (for comparison the Z6II ISO range is 100-51,200)
EN-EL15 battery
The Z f logo is moved to the left (the Zfc has it on the right)
Dual memory card slots (SD+MicroSD) – this is probably why the first reports came out with only one memory card slot, the second slot could be hidden and be used just like the internal memory on some cameras

I think that they should stop looking at making camera`s smaller and lighter, but instead, looking at making lenses smaller and less weighty, look at that 35 f1.8 on it compared to the 35 f1.4 ai-s which is nearly half that size,weighing less...see how BIG a 24-70 vr is,compared to the 35-70 2.8 af-D, it is a monster of a lens,..I`ve got a TAMRON 15-30 2.8 G2 which is Humongous , I feel ashamed to show myself in public with it ,...and them lenses are getting Bigger & Heavier by the day, ....a D3x with 20 f2.8 ai-s on it,carried in the hand with No bag,posed no problem going around for a whole afternoon , but the 24-70 vr / 15-30 g2 Only came out of the bag when called for,...the Problem lies with them Massive optics, make those smaller.lighter and faster please..then we can talk about innovation.

The Fuji X cameras are 2/3 weight of Nikon mirrorless cameras…yet the lenses are the same weight. Net result you lose the weight advantage and with the smaller bodies trying to cope with heavy lenses, you lose balance.

In contrast Sony mirrorless cameras are heavy compared to Nikon. BUT their lenses are incredibly heavy. So you end up with a small heavy body and heavy lens. That’s why I added the extra bottom grip to make the combination easier to balance. I recognise with longer lenses you should really be using supports (mono/tripods) but even using shorter lenses handheld they seem unnecessarily heavy. I am grateful for the onboard stability systems to steady my aged hands. Lol

Don’t worry Jonathan. It won’t take any better images than the Z9 or the Fujis.

It is however, frustrating investing chunks of money and the manufacturers bringing out comparable performance models at a fraction of the price.
