Looks very yellow and green. Oh no that is the reflection from the green monkey. Nice capture Iain. Glad that you are liking the new kit.

Begs the squestion why Nikon dont have a 400 mm AFS lens other than the f2.8 unit! Everyone is tired of waiting for the update for the 80-400 f4.5-5.6 AF, it really needs AFS on it especially with all the new lesser spec cameras such as the D5100/5000/3000/3100 that can only use AFS lenses.

It was ISO800 @5.6 and 1/320 and the bird was about 25-30 feet away and I have cropped the image to what it is.

Am I right I saying the 7d is a 'DX' size sensor and the 400mm is an' 'FX' lens...so the effective focal length on your shot was 600mm ish?
