I am laid up at he moment with a very painful back and dosed up with painkillers.

I am going through all my registrations as I am changing my eMail addresses. I need tp change all my registered addresses or I will no longer get notifications or be able to log into some websites.

While trawling through my book of passwords I came upon this website.

http://www.nikonweb.com

it may be of some interest for members interested in older Nikon camera

re: older Nikon camera
Please note that Jarle's website caters to the older Nikon Digital SLR's and even older Kodak models.

Robert-

Sorry to hear about your back (think we all are subject to this at our age) but at least you have pain killers :-) (be sure to take a little more than they advise :-)

Rest up and then get active !!!!

Thanks for the link

Robert-

I especially was in dreamland seeing my old Kodak DCS 420...wow was I in love with that camera !!!

Also it was great to see a Fuji x100 beside a nikon rangefinder - made me remember my S2 and like the fuji all the more.

I've sold every film camera I had...only regret selling the S2.

Sorry about your back pain. I know it is very painful.

Get well quickly and as Tom pointed out, always side on the philosophy that more is always better when pain meds are concerned.

:-)

Thank you Graham, that's lovely!

That may inspire me to create something similar...

I have only a tiny garden which only contains plants which are named commemoratively, that is (usually) after the person who first discovered the plant and reported the find to Kew.

There is a pesky little white alpine flower, Jeffersonia dubia, which I have tried to capture over the years but all the images I captured were blown out. This was mostly with my D1 before I understood the histogram and more about allowing for the bright end of the scale.

Unfortunately this plant only flowers for about two weeks in late April I haven't managed to capture it again since my first attempt. This example is at Wisley RHS Garden

My back is a bit better thank you although very fragile still. At least I don't have to use a stick just to cross the room now!

An example of my attempts to capture Jeffersonia dubia, back in 2006, with the D1 and Nikkor Micro 60 f2.8.

Hang on JK!!! That was what I was going to say.

I have some lovely flowers in my greenhouse at the moment, if I can do them justice, they have a beautiful shimmering opalescence which knowing my skills will come out a boring red with none of the splendid effects I can see with the naked eye.

Thanks for thinking of me Graham!

NOT pain Graham, lovely flower!

The quality really speaks for itself.

I will have to meet up with you at Wisley next April so I can capture the Jeffersonia dubia.
