Been worried by this problem on my main Mavericks machines.

I'm NOT going to try the workaround as it will break the way my networking is set up.  Others may find it more useful.

Thanks, JK, but I'll stick with the wait for now.

There is a lot of talk in the Apple Support threads and most seem to feel it is a Finder issue and will be fixed in the upcoming Mavericks update (released to devs last week).
